Kelham Pottery

Kelham Pottery are a young, studio-run business based in the smelting pot of Sheffield’s industrial past, Kelham Island. We’ve developed a new ecommerce website for them to accelerate their growth in 2023.

Client Background

With her passion for all things ceramic, Deb Barker, a retired teacher with 25 years of experience, founded Kelham Pottery. She has a new studio in the highly sought after Krynkl development in Kelham Island and aims to share her knowledge and teach as many people as possible how to create their first pot. Over the past 5 years, Deb has honed her skills and developed her unique style, and now she is determined to establish Kelham Pottery as a top creative pottery studio in the northern region. With her talent, experience and drive, Deb is poised to inspire a new generation of pottery enthusiasts in Sheffield.

Mobile-First Approach

With a mobile-first approach, we make sure that our designs are optimized for mobile devices, where most of today's internet users are active. In line with this approach, we've designed Kelham Pottery's website with a clear focus on mobile optimization, given that the brand will be relying primarily on Instagram as its main marketing channel. You can follow Kelham Pottery on Instagram here.

We've also incorporated clear calls-to-action, descriptive titles and copy, as well as beautiful studio photography by Dan Beall, to make sure that users can engage with the brand, its products, and services easily and quickly. Our goal is to provide a seamless, enjoyable user experience that encourages visitors to explore, engage and convert on the Kelham Pottery website.
