Southsea Folk
Southsea Folk discussed the potential of a new website back in 2019 and since raising funds through crowdfunding, appointed TEST Creative to build and develop a bespoke website to capture who they are and what they’re all about.
Client Background
Southsea Folk have a print publication that features artistic portraits of inspiring local folk in their environments. Their podcast aims to bring cultural stories and the personalities of the guests they source weekly and their blog acts as a source for featured artists, locations, events, bars, restaurants and everything in between!
Website Development
Inspired by the look and feel of publications such as Kinfolk and Wallpaper, the ambition for the website was to create a really clean and contemporary user-experience that would enhance both stories and local business profiles simultaneously. We incorporated a sliding image gallery as well as a magazine viewing gallery that would further enhance the experience online while the print publication side of the business slowed down.
