The Institute of Promotional Marketing (IPM)

The Institute of Promotional Marketing is the only self-regulatory body that governs promotional marketing in the UK. They represent the interests of client companies that use promotional marketing techniques, and the agencies and suppliers that support them.

Brief

In our initial discussions with the IPM, it became evident that they sought assistance in crafting a fresh brand vision, developing a new website, and implementing a content management system. They also expressed the need for extra support in marketing and graphic design, especially in light of the upcoming introduction of a new MD. Our task was to redesign and enhance the user experience for their primary marketing medium: their website.

Previously, the organization leaned heavily on an outdated CRM system. Leveraging a forward-thinking strategy, we successfully transitioned the IPM to a more advanced and sustainable platform using WordPress. This transition catered to the IPM's desire for editorial control and provided a robust multi-level user system.

Rebrand Process

During our collaboration with IPM, we identified a strong need for a logo refresh to align with their evolving brand identity. Their existing logo, while representative of their past, needed modernization to resonate with today's audience and future aspirations. Tasked with this redesign, we took a deep dive into IPM's core values and vision. The result? A revitalized logo that pays homage to their legacy but with a contemporary twist, ensuring their brand remains both relevant and recognizable. This new logo is not just a symbol; it's a testament to IPM's forward-thinking approach and our commitment to excellence in design.

Collaboration

Engaging closely with IPM's new MD, Emma Kirk, was an enlightening journey. Emma brought a fresh perspective and invaluable insights to the table. By embracing a truly collaborative approach, we were able to understand and articulate IPM's renewed vision seamlessly. This synergy between our teams became the cornerstone of our work, streamlining the decision-making process. Within a span of just six months, fueled by this collective energy and clear direction, we successfully launched a reimagined brand, a new website and CMS, and impactful marketing assets. This accomplishment wasn't merely about meeting deadlines; it was a testament to the power of partnership and shared vision between the IPM and TEST Creative teams.
